Agricultural landscape in Nigeria — ginger farming region

Unlocking the Full Value of Nigerian Ginger

Edan & Sherr was founded on a simple conviction: Nigerian ginger is among the finest in the world, yet it has long been undervalued in global markets. We exist to change that by building a supply chain that honours the farmer, respects the crop, and delivers a product worthy of the world's most discerning buyers.

Operating from Southern Kaduna, Nigeria's premier ginger belt, we work directly with over 200 smallholder farming families, providing technical support, fair farm-gate pricing, and guaranteed offtake. Our processing facilities then transform that raw material into export-grade dried ginger, powder, and steam-treated product that meets EU, US, and Asian regulatory standards.

A Legacy of Ginger, A Vision for the World

I grew up watching generations of ginger farmers shape this legacy. Season after season, they produced ginger of remarkable strength and character. What I still believe to be the boldest ginger in the world.

Nigeria is home to some of the world's finest ginger, prized for its rich aroma, bold flavour, and exceptional oil content. But for me, this is more than a fact. It is a story I have lived.

I grew up watching generations of ginger farmers shape this legacy. My grandfather, one of the finest farmers of his time, devoted his life to the land. After him came my parents, uncles, cousins, and countless others: men and women who worked tirelessly in rich red soils under open skies, cultivating a crop that carries both heritage and pride.

Season after season, they produced ginger of remarkable strength and character. What I still believe to be the boldest ginger in the world. Yet despite its quality, much of its true value remained unrealised. The world had not fully experienced it as it should. I watched as each generation, in its own way, tried to bring this extraordinary resource to the global stage, often constrained by limitations beyond their control.

That is where the story begins to change. Edan & Sherr Limited was founded with a clear vision: to unlock the full value of Nigeria's world-class ginger and share its true potential with the world.

Quality You Can Verify

Every batch of Edan & Sherr ginger passes through a rigorous four-stage quality system before it is cleared for export.

Hygienic Processing

Strict hygiene protocols govern every stage, from raw root intake and washing through to final packaging, ensuring a clean, safe product from start to finish.

Quality Control

Dedicated QC personnel monitor each batch for colour, aroma, moisture content, and physical integrity before it progresses to the next processing stage.

Laboratory Testing

In-house and accredited third-party labs run full analysis: EU pesticide residue limits, aflatoxin thresholds, heavy metals, and microbiological screening.

Full Traceability

GPS-registered farms, batch-coded processing records, and chain-of-custody documentation provide complete, auditable farm-to-factory transparency.
